Where audio, video, images and labels are stored, where they are processed, and how to pin a collection to a single region.
Every collection is assigned a home region at the point it is commissioned, and everything that belongs to it — raw audio and footage, depth and pose streams, transcripts, labels, manifests and quality reports — stays in that region. Perit operates three:
Storage, transcription, alignment, labelling, video review and benchmark scoring run inside the home region. Foundry streams a clip to the reviewer rather than copying it, so annotation of a Frankfurt collection by a reviewer in Mumbai does not move the file — and where the specification requires it, reviewers are recruited in-region as well.
Account records, billing, applications, support tickets and the scheduling page are global systems and are not region-pinned. They contain no audio, video or images.
Physical Intelligence collections follow the same rule. Footage from a chest camera, a stereo headset, a teleoperation rig or a wrist gripper is uploaded from the capture site to the collection's home region and is not staged anywhere else. Robot state, action and pose logs travel with the footage they belong to.
We do not move a dataset out of its home region without written instruction. Where a transfer is instructed, it runs on Standard Contractual Clauses with a transfer assessment on file, and the delivery record names every region the data touched. Deliveries into your own bucket use time-boxed credentials and the region you name.
The current list — regional cloud hosting, payment providers, identity checks, email, and Google for the application form and the scheduling page — with the region each operates in, is attached to every data processing agreement and available on request. We give 30 days' notice before adding one, and you may object.
Your recordings and footage are stored in the region of the collection you worked on — usually the one you live in. Your account and payout details sit in the global billing system with your payment provider. You can see and export everything you have submitted from the workspace.
Deletion requests are executed in the home region and propagate to backups within 35 days. Exports are delivered from the home region, in the format agreed in the engagement. Withdrawn sessions are deleted, not archived.
Residency controls sit inside our ISO 27001:2022 information-security and ISO 27701:2019 privacy-management systems and are covered by our SOC 2 report; TPN Gold covers content security for studio material. Enterprise engagements include an annual audit right over residency controls, plus access logs on request. Ask for the control summary and the current sub-processor list.
One address for privacy requests, security reports and anything contractual. We answer within 30 days, usually the same week.
